This site is a tribute to James Rush, who passed away with melanoma on 29th August 2022.

James was a true renaissance man, with hobbies including kayaking, surfing, climbing and mountain biking. He loved the outdoors and was a talented photographer and designer. He most recently worked as a tree surgeon and was a retained firefighter.

Since his diagnosis of melanoma recurrence in 2020, he raised thousands of pounds for Melanoma Focus by taking part in the Melanoma 1000 challenge, completing his miles despite treatment and major surgery.

His inquisitive nature, tenacity, bravery and stubbornness(!) will remain an inspiration to us all.
